General Installation Instructions.
|
|
Installation instructions for several programs are below.
For those of you that are new to the web and downloading in particular I will cover this topic in great detail.

If

are
having
a
problem
with
the
demo
being
active
after
installing
the
full
version,
or
there
is
no
place
to
enter
the
key
codes,
or
the
key
codes
are
too
long.

Downloading:
When you purchase our product you will be directed to our full version download page.
When you click on the download link

You will be presented with the following screen:
Click Save and you will be presented with:

To maintain good computer "housecleaning" and file management I have a folder called "Downloads" in which I make a new folder, under the demo folder, called Tile Tools Full Version.
|
|
|
|
Double Click on the new folder to open it:
|
|
|
|
Click on "Save"
|
|
Do not check the "Close this dialog box...". This will allow you to either open the zipped download (In Winzip) or open the folder that you just downloaded to.
|
|
Clicking on "Open" will launch the Winzip process.
If you choose to open the folder you will see:
The fmtt12f icon means the file is zipped.
Double clicking on this icon will start the Winzip process. |

|
As I use Winzip in the "Classic" mode I use the "Extract" button
I extract the files to the same folder as the download but make a new folder in the main folder called "expanded". After the install process is finished I delete this folder.

|
After clicking "Extract" the next screen opens;
|
|
|
|
Notice that the "Extract to:" path is to the same folder the zipped file was saved to. Again I choose the "New Folder Icon and create a new folder called "expanded"
|
|
|
|
IMPORTANT
After unzipping the file into the folder of your choice it is almost time to install the filters.
Before you do, download the help file and then use the form to generate your key codes.

Installing the filters
The first screen will be:

Click on "Next >"

In this part of the setup process you will be given to option to choose the default installation folder. The default is C:\enter_host_plugin_directory_here

Consult your image editing software's documentation for more info on where the files should go.

Use the "Browse..." button to open the folder selection screen.

IMPORTANT

In the screen above I am installing the filters into my Corel plugins directory. Corel is installed on my "I" drive. You would change this to suit the program you will be using the filters in and the drive on which the program is installed.

Click on "Next >"
|
|
Click on "Finish"
|
|
After installation, The filters will be available in the host program's Filter menu
under the heading "FM Tile Tools".
If you cannot find the filters in the host program, please use the host program's filter import or selection process.
The first time you use the filters you will be asked to enter the keys you received when you completed and submitted our online key-generator form.

Adobe PhotoShop
From the installation process install the 8bf files into the plugins sub folder inside the PhotoShop folder.
After restarting PhotoShop, you will find them in the Filter menu.

Adobe Illustrator
From the installation process install the 8bf files into the Plug-ins sub folder inside the Illustrator folder.
After restarting Illustrator, you will find them in the Filter menu.

Adobe After Effects
From the installation process install the 8bf files into the Plug-ins sub folder inside the After Effects folder.
After restarting After Effects, you will find them in the Effect menu.

Jasc Paintshop Pro
Choose Preferences from the File menu and select the folder(s), where the
8bf files are located, in the Plug-in Filters tab of Preferences dialog.
The plugins will appear on the Plug-in Filters sub menu of the Image menu after a few seconds. |

Ulead Photo Impact 4
Choose Preferences from the File menu and select the folder(s), where the 8bf files are located, in the Plug-ins tab of Preferences dialog.
After restarting Photo Impact the plugins will be displayed at the bottom of the Effect menu.

Corel Photo-Paint
Press <Ctl + J> to display the Options dialog, select Plugins from the list box on the left and press the Add button to choose the location of the plugins. The plugins will appear in the Effects menu right after the Options dialog disappear.
|
|
Fractal Design Painter
Choose Preferences | Plugins... from the Edit menu and select the folder where the plugins are located.
After restarting Painter the plugins will appear on the Effects menu.
